as a caterer including:
A love of food and a passion for cooking are a plus.
Work well under pressure
Being able to keep a schedule and client commitments
In addition to these skills, you should be aware of any food
laws and requirements in your area. Check with your local
government authority.

If you are just beginning a catering service you might be able
to eliminate some start up costs by renting equipment instead of
outright purchasing it.
You will also need some other basic business items. A phone
line, fax machine, client contracts, and possibly even a
computer and internet access if you plan on working online at
all.
