Fab Job reports that according to the Association of Bridal Consultants, the percentage of couples using wedding planners has doubled in 3 years
A wedding planner can be responsible for:
- Creating a timeline schedule for everything that needs to be done prior to and on the day of the wedding.
- Setting up and working according to a budget
- Planning the wedding ceremony
- Planning the reception
- Finding and working with vendors
- Negotiating contracts
Useful skills:
- Planning and organization
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work under pressure and deal with emotional clients
There is no special education or certification required to become a wedding planner.
